Doo you work with any kydex for holsters or sheaths for tools?

Inter Nachi - Sun, 05/12/2013 - 04:26
I am considering working with kydex to make some custom tool holders MT-6, Ruler, Sharpie, moisture meter, temp gun etc...

I am looking for anyone who works with it as a hobby or a second job for advice or used tools.

Let me know if you are involved with making things out of kydex or similar products.

I think it may be an interesting and fun and useful hobby to get involved with and l am looking for some used tools. Presses, eyelet setters band saws, band sanders. Kydex Or similar material that you do not intend on using. I'll try anything just to learn if the price is right or "FREE" :) If you give me the stuff I'll give it my best shot to try to make whatever you want. I just want to learn.

I know next to nothing about it but think it would be fun. I purchased Mike S.'s kitchen Kydex so I have a little knowledge and am looking to get started.

Thanks in advance for any help or advice,
Mke

Nick, can you look into Evernote Discount

Inter Nachi - Sat, 05/11/2013 - 21:10
Reading a book on evernote it states that Non profit organizations (I assume its members) can get the subscription at a 50% savings. Can you look into this for us?

I think it is the same for Microsoft products...

Might be worth looking into...thanks...If I had the authority I would have looked into it for you...

Thanks for your consideration

What is this???

Inter Nachi - Sat, 05/11/2013 - 18:22
Found this on an exterior wall in a bedroom. It was on a USDA financed job. I mentioned it could be painted over mold. This caused a huge fuss! The realtor and the seller both said that it was dirt in the paint. Opinions? The realtor also suggested that I was looking at nail pops! Thanks in advance!Attachment 65215

Inter Nachi - Sat, 05/11/2013 - 14:54
All,

Are you all familiar with water testing as seen here?

Can you provide some pointers from an inspectors perspective. Your opinions are very valuable to us.

Thanks,

Andy

Form Ties

Inter Nachi - Fri, 05/10/2013 - 15:47
Do any of you call out form ties which are not snapped off after construction? I mention it but am wondering if I should be more aggressive.

If so, what do you say about them, I'm in need of a comment.

My brain can think...

Inter Nachi - Fri, 05/10/2013 - 13:33
I'm looking at this setup and can't figure what looks wrong to me. It's going to be one of those days.

Both of these are vents, both dry vents, the left one is original and connects to a central basement floor drain, the right one vents a basement bathroom which actually drains into the left one so this is the top of a big PVC pipe square.

Is this a flat vent?
Is the fitting at the top left incorrect?

EDIT: Solved. This is a wet vent and my subject was absolutely incorrect! Supposed to say "can't think".
